Privacy policy

Daily Start does not collect, transmit or share any personal information. The app makes no network requests of any kind.

What the app stores

Everything you type into Daily Start — your name, your routine, the days you planned ahead, your checklist items and which ones you ticked off — is written to a single file on your own computer:

You can open, read, edit, back up or delete that file at any time. Uninstalling the app leaves the file in place; delete that folder to remove your data completely.

What the app sends

Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. The app works with no internet connection at all. Even the typefaces it uses are bundled inside the app rather than fetched from a font service.

What the developer receives

Nothing. I have no access to your data, because your data never leaves your device. There is no server to send it to.

This website

The website is a separate thing from the app, and it is honest about that. It counts page views through Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and stores no personal data. If you hand over an email address in one of the forms, it is used to email you about Daily Start and nothing else — no list is sold, rented or shared, and every message has an unsubscribe link.

Children

The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If a future version ever adds a feature that sends data somewhere — optional sync between your own computers, say — this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the feature will be off until you switch it on yourself.
